Here’s another service that I keep handy in my entrepreneur’s toolkit: Bespoke Post.
Described as, “themed boxes for people who give a damn. Free to join, no commitments”, Bespoke is a subscription-based service that delivers, “personalized mix of unique products and a whole lot of bang for your buck” to clients who have filled out a quiz at onboarding to help the service select your first box. They advertise that you can, “keep it, swap it, or skip it — you’re in control. Zero commitment. Boxes cost $45, but are worth over $70.”
I signed up for it personally and each month when something new arrives, I consider who in my network the gift might make an appreciated gift for – sometimes it’s to acknowledge a recent success, celebrate a birthday, or just to say, “thank you.” When I say this is “corporate gifting made easy”, I don’t mean purchasing hundreds of promotional items with my logo on them. (Although, there’s certainly a time and place for those items. I call on Cody Williams and the team at The Roberts Group in Raleigh for that!) What I’m referring to is a thoughtful, meaningful gift that’s unexpected. I believe it goes a long way in saying that someone is appreciated.
Another option I like to keep on hand is a few bottles of collectible whiskey – for example, Blanton’s. For bourbon fans in North Carolina, Blanton’s can be hard to find and many folks are keeping an eye out for them as they are working to collect all eight varieties of the brand’s signature bottle stoppers. For people in my network that I hold in especially high regards who I know appreciate a good whiskey drink, I try to always keep a bottle on hand so I can make an unexpected drop off of something truly special when someone has gone out of their way to be a good partner.
